Airport jobs by their simplest definition are jobs performed in the vicinity of the airport. Not all jobs offered in the airport require a college degree, specialized training or aviation job experience. The job list includes sky caps, airport managers, airport directors, airport engineers/planners, airport custodians, linepersons, and fixed base operation managers. Other job opportunities include those related to emergency services such as police officers, firefighters and medics as well as those related to concessions and airport food service such as retail shops, car rental agencies, coffee shops, shuttle service and food stores.

The job list can go as small or as large as the specific needs of an airport. An airport is usually compared to a micro city where almost every type of job found
in the city can also be found. Every job is as important as the other since an airport experience cannot be as comfortable when one fails to perform his/her duty. An airport cleaner is as important as an airport ambassador since the latter cannot do his/her job well if the former fails to keep the airport facilities clean.

One of the best ways to find airport jobs is through online search. A good online job search company connects applicants to top local employers. Qualifications, skills and capabilities are matched with employer requirements.

This year, I was able to coordinate 3 weddings, 2 of which are my own accounts while the other 1 is an invitation by a fellow coordinator since she needs additional head. I haven’t had a lot of weddings this year but even after my announcement that I will no longer be doing weddings, I am still receiving a couple of recommendation and inquiries. It’s flattering indeed! A former bride has even recommended 2 of her friends to me and both will be getting married this year. I promised I will no longer be doing wedding but I guess I can’t just easily get away with it.

Why did I actually decide to leave the wedding industry? Well, primarily because of the schedule. You all know that I have a full time day job apart from being a digital scrapbook designer. The preparations of a wedding are indeed tiring. From the biggest and grandest preparation up to the tiniest details like wedding napkins, everything needs to be planned and perfected as much as possible. The level of stress between work and wedding planning is killing me and decided to give up the other one – of course, I would chose to leave it over my work.

But then, referrals came in. Inquiries came in. My sister-in-law, who’s my best partner in this field is now home and then an old friend, who happens to be the best wedding coordinator I’ve known is coming home too in September. If this is just all coincidence, then it’s a good one! I have talked to my sister-in-law and told her I’ll let her and our friend take care of the office but I will still be overlooking everything. Hopefully, with this decision, I won’t need to go to events and will just basically do the planning stage. The execution will be done by the 2 best ladies I’ve chosen. Announcement coming soon!

My sister-in-law is still missing in action and might be able to come back later this week. Finally, I can have a little extra time to rest and sleep and get my energy back. I have been having dark circles lately due to lack of sleep and most of the time, I feel dizzy in the office. I am having a terrible time with work and I am not as effective as I used to be. It is indeed a bad habit not having enough hours of sleep everyday. Well, I should make it clear that it isn’t a habit but it is just how my life goes on every day!

As much as I wanted to sleep more and get more rest, I don’t have enough time to do so. The hours in a day aren’t enough to complete all the tasks that I need to accomplish and there has been some pending items on my list already. Plus, I need to tend the kids when I get home and tidy the house before going to bed. I just can’t sleep with all the mess around and despite being so tired, it’s like my body automatically grabs on to things and start the cleaning. After everything is settled, the kids are upstairs and ready to sleep, the dogs have eaten, the house is tidy again, that is my only time to take a shower and be ready for bed. By that time, it’s already 12 midnight. These tiring days are the best days for me to sleep because I don’t need extra effor to force myself. LOL!

Anyway, I will be teaching the kids to go to bed early in preparation for the school days so I better teach myself to sleep early too! I guess it’s not just the kids who need to learn but the mother as well.

I was wondering – does the Philippines have the most percentage of working moms? I am a very active digital scrapbook designer and pretty much into the scrapbooking community and most of my colleagues there are about 80% full time moms. It was a bit surprising but I thought probably the country’s economic situation has got something to do with it.

In most of the countries where people are likely to migrate, Canada has been the best choice so far. The benefits that the Canadian people get from their government are very well worth the taxes they are paying. An average employee will not even regret paying his taxes to the government because definitely, it will go back to them.

In the Philippines where people work hard and employment is a bit complicated, the taxes are high – but you will barely see where your taxes are going. I pity our country – because it badly needs a dedicated and compassionate leader and until now, it is not sure whether it will get one soon or will the agony be longer.

Should the moms just stay at homes or should they work to help their husbands build their family? I opted to work – as the family needs it – financially. But when it comes to dedicating my time with the kids, I am still dreaming of being a stay-at-home-mom. I want to see my kids growing. But I guess I am forbidden to do so this early.

A couple of days more and we will finally be having the very first automated election in the country. Although there were are couple of doubts and fears surrounding the nation, I still believe that the one who will truly serve the country will emerge and win.

And as the election day is drawing near, more and more campaign ads can be seen, the roads, the building, the walls on the streets – is there any other place where the candidates can’t post? LOL! Oh and they have penetrated other medias too – the radio, the television and even the internet! I was browsing online to check on Hydroxycut Max when I saw some new ads by our candidates. Isn’t it amazing how well we have evolved over the last decades? One thing though that I have observed – the jingles are still here. It brings back the old way of getting to know our candidates and their plans for the country.

Sadly though, I am not sure if I will be able to vote this year. I have my reasons and though I know it is a responsibility that I should not be taking for granted, I might not be able to step into the election precinct this time. Oh – the busy mom!
