Lights for Homes

You know I am an online freak and I browse most of the time while designing and checking the digital scrapbook community. I stumble upon another useful site that I believe moms will love, the Hinkley lighting store. Look at these gorgeous lightings that will definitely make your home ever so beautiful:

Aren’t they gorgeous? This site is definitely on my bookmarked sites already and I will have to go back to it on the right time. I just hope it will be soon. ;)

Rebuilding Houses?

Then this wholesale apparel might just be right for you too. I have been looking for some cheaper furnitures and house gadgets I can use at home and I stumble upon this site. They have quite a lot of good and cheap items so I bookmarked it and shared it with you moms and dads out there.

I will share more and look for more useful sites so I can share them all with you. I am going to need to rest for some time though. It has been tough being sick and even if I hate to say it, I probably might be away for some time. But who knows, I might not take long, anyway :) We’ll see :)

Insurance Again

It has yet marked another year and time to renew the insurance policy that hubby purchased last year as a requirement for the housing loan. Oh no, don’t take it the wrong way. We purchased that primarily because hubby needs to become a member of the mutual benefits association and to be a member is to enroll in an insurance policy. So there.

I don’t know about other countries but term life insurance here in our country has a lot of complications on claim filings so we needed to be careful before we made that decision last year. There has been a lot of scams, issues and business related stuffs of many insurance companies and everyone is being cautious in getting even an educational plan. It is no longer to simply just trust anyone offering who is offering a policy because you are investing your hard earned money.

How hard it is to earn vs how easy it is to spend the money you worked for very long hours is the biggest question one would always face when there are big purchases for the family or for the household. So moms and dads out there, don’t just jump in when someone shows a good offer. Take time to study the proposal and discuss it carefully. Sometimes, the more discounted the product or service is, the more you should be cautious about it.

Car Registration and Insurance Headache

It’s the time of the year and April 2010 will mark our first ever car registration. This is our first time and we still don’t have any idea how the process goes. There are a lot of expert scums out there waiting for their innocent preys. I was actually thinking if I should seek the assistance of our agent in the casa to get the insurance in our behalf. Well, technically I wanted to elude the hassle of going to LTO as well. But we’ll sort things out first and then decide.

Oh and not only that, car insurance is expiring too and I need to get a new one. I had a claims issue with the last provider but it was resolved so I am still contemplating if I really need to get another provider. There are quite some offers from friends and even neighbors. I checked some of them but I really cannot just go to any cheap car insurance and this is another tough decision to make. Decisions and finances are getting troublesome lately and my wrinkles are already getting visible! When will life be a little peaceful?

Ack, hubby and I need to work real hard so we can finally be financially stable and things like these won’t be a big deal. Here’s some more prayer for a salary increase and a promotion this year LOL!

Needs versus Wants

I have read a couple of books about financial independence and the topic between classifying your needs versus your wants is always present in each of them. I guess I have learned about this a little late. But as the overused cliche goes – better late than never.

Alas, I found myself in this situation where I really need to assess if it is really needed and it was tough LOL! My boss was selling his Ipod Touch for a very cheap price and my eyes were glowing the moment I heard it. You know how better this gadget is compared to any other MP3 players out there and how cool it is. I have been longing to get one and I thought this time – is already my chance. It wasn’t (sounding a little frustrated).

Oh well, the PC is already at its limit and I have to set priorities. And this is where the need versus the want came in. I needed to check what I need most and if having that Ipod Touch is really a necessity. It turned out, we can still live without it – but dang, I can’t live without a PC! So that answered my question. The decision is final. :)
