Good Looking Moms

Who says moms don’t deserve to look good? Most of what I heard from common friends is that when you are a mom, you won’t have time for yourself. You’ll only need to tend to your family’s needs, the house, the food, the laundry, the grocery, the budget, the school. All of it. Won’t we ever get tired of all these things?

Moms are also individual human beings. Yes, we take care of our family but I think taking care of our family means we have to take care of ourselves too. To happily server your family to be personally happy and contented. And yes, we deserve to look good and feel good. We need time to rest and be with our friends or just ourselves to unwind and relax. This way, we can still be beautiful despite the age and the number of children. Well, the only thing I don’t like about aging is that I constantly need to apply adult acne solutions to avoid pimple outbreak.

It’s never too late and we are never too old to be beautiful. Being happy with ourselves will help us feel fulfilled and contented with our lives. Looking good is feeling good.

OB-Gyne Check

I was in the hospital last week due to abdominal pain but only UTI was diagnosed. My all time acid peptic disease subsided after I was given a shot of proton pump inhibitor. Nonetheless, the UTI persisted and it’s as if I haven’t take any medication but dang I finished my 1 week antibiotics.

I woke up this morning, with deark circles under eyes because I wasn’t able to sleep soundly last night (well it’s very common every night for me) and I am worried already so I decided to take the advice of my ob-gyne to have an ultrasound. I will be out of office today to do it. Hopefully, they will be able to figure out what’s wrong. I don’t want this thing to keep on bugging me from time to time and that is the reason why I have always sought treatment immediately upon noticing something is wrong with my body.

So moms, don’t take little things for granted. If you realize something is wrong with your body, have it checked by your doctor. As the overused cliche goes, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Health really is our wealth so we must take good care of ourselves too. This way, we’ll be able to perform our duties as a mom, an office girl and a wife.

House Cleaning Tips

Is it an everyday battle for you too?

With 2 toddlers around, goofing, playing, running, screaming, it has been never that easy cleaning our house. But I think it goes well with other households who have tots too. Whenever you have already piled all the toys and clean the house – it’s as if they’d love to litter even more. Oh kids :)

The only thing I don’t like after cleaning the house is our vinyl tiles. I know and understand for a fact that it’s already 15 years old and that even after cleaning, it doesn’t even look clean. LOL! I am actually thinking what kind of tiles should we need when renovation takes place. Will a granite tile be good or will a stainless steel tile do an even better job?

If you are having a tough time doing the cleaning job, here are some helpful tips:

  1. Dust daily. Don’t wait until it’s a week worth of accumulated dust before you decide to grab your duster.
  2. Sweep daily. Just like dusting, it should be done daily.
  3. Have a regular weekly house cleaning and a regular general cleaning of at least once a month.
  4. Wipe your furnitures, decors, appliances.
  5. Check for items that can already be left for good in the trash. Collecting trash has never done me any good.

Cleaning is not an easy task and it has to be done regularly. It makes the house more livable, virus and germs free.

Kitchen Makeover

I have been longing to do one. I love to cook and I love the be in the kitchen when I am at home. I am not really good or anything but I just love to try most of the recipes i see in books, cooking shows and magazines. Besides, there’s no harm in trying.

There is just one thing annoying me all the time whenever I’m in the kitchen, the sink and the faucet. The sink has been replaced last year because of leaks and rust but it did not last long. Just after a couple of weeks, the enamel coat started to loosen. I guess I need to include this on the list for our house renovation plan. A good kitchen sink must be paired with a good faucet so here’s a Kohler faucet I saw online that I think would match the design I am looking for.

Ain’t it beautiful? I wonder what husbands are talking about when they hear their wives amusements over these things. LOL! This will definitely be on the list. Our area is not big so I’d better plan the design carefully. Good thing I have a lot of friends and contacts whom I can ask for help in designing. It will be hard for sure but I am sure it will pay off. Can’t wait.

Household Documents

Getting married is not as easy as ABC. It entails a lot of responsibilities, not just about parenting and family but also about ensuring that the household finances and documents are all updated.

We officially got the house last year. The TCT has been under our names already and this year, is our first time to pay the real estate tax. I was new to the entire process and I don’t even have the slightest idea of how much will I have to pay for it. Me, the budgeter would always want to check on every expenses first before getting the money out of my wallet. But this one is different. I just have to go there, get the documents filled out and pay whatever the amount the cashier will tell me. Whew I pretty relieve to finally know it was way below my expectation.

It was a good experience. Now, I am really feeling a bit more responsible than I was before. I left the office after getting some documents that my mom needs for her business insurance. I thought I will be having a hard time but it wasn’t. I’m glad I decided to pay early and did not procrastinate until the deadline is near. I was spared of the hassle and I don’t even have to take a leave from work.

I will be starting to maintain more household documents starting this year and I have to make sure that everything will be paid and updated.
