It goes without saying that our children’s safety is always the primary concern for any sane and loving parent. We would go out on a limb just to do everything in our power to secure our kids’ safety. Pick the right car seat depending on your child’s age, weight and height. Rear-facing seats are for newborns and infants. More than a child’s age and weight, his height will be the indicator as to when he has outgrown the rear-facing seat. When his head is within 1 inch of the top of the seat, that’s the sign that he’s ready for a forward-facing seat. Booster seats are for kids who are over 40 pounds. When they reach the age of 8, they could just use the adult seatbelt at the backseat of the car, without the aid of a booster seat. Always make sure the seatbelts are well-fastened.
