f you are a die-hard movie buff, then it would come as no surprise for you to have a home theater system right smack in your living room. Of course, no home theater system would be complete without subwoofers. They help make the movie-viewing experience larger than life by enhancing your audio system, making you “feel” every crash and bang from your favorite action flick.
So, where exactly is the optimal place to position your subwoofers? Some people suggest placing your subwoofers at the back of the room, where it rounds out the audio system, so to speak. It gives you that desired surround sound effect. Some, on the other hand say that putting your subwoofers in between the front left and right speakers produces the best effect.
The thing is, subwoofers give off a low-frequency resonance. The bass sound coming from it travels in any direction, so it basically doesn’t matter where you position the subwoofer. Just try to put it in different areas or corners of your room, and see which placement gives you the effect you want.
