Don’t worry your pretty little head, it’s not considered child abuse to get your kid to help out with the household chores. As long as your 5-year old doesn’t have to lug around a heavy air compressor around the living room, you’ll be fine. Getting kids involved in housework can be fun.

You can have your little one do simple tasks such as putting his toys away. Even this can be fun, by putting a makeshift basketball ring over his toybox, for instance, so he can shoot his toys over the hoop.

You can jazz up a broom with a colorful ribbon, and make your little girl sweep the floor, as you play some fast-paced music in the background.

It’s also a pretty easy task for them to help clear out the dishes after meals, or to fold the laundry.

Whatever you make them do, keep them away from toxic chemicals.

Getting your kids involve in some simple chores like putting away their things is a good way of teaching your kids how to be responsible with their toys and school things.
