Are your teens now concern about having pimples and how to treat them? I remember my mom having the same issue when my brother turned 15. He started having pimples then and he developed inferiority complex after people around him started teasing him. Until now, you can’t ask my brother to take public transport every so often. The pimples are gone but the feeling of being inferior to others still have not left him.

Common pimple problem starts during the teenage years. These are the years when our kids starts having acne nodules on their faces. Boys are the most prone to these acne problems during the adolescent years but there are girls who have the same problem. I was a lucky girl to have no pimple until I turned 19. I found it really hard to accept when I first saw a pimple on my face. I don’t want to go to class nor get out of the dormitory and I cried every single day over what had happened. I finally understood why my brother developed inferiority complex when he was in highschool. It was a tough thing to understand at an early age. And my brother, being so conscious about his looks and what people might say about him, didn’t want to go out of the house.

These years, it seems like teenagers doesn’t have to worry much about this kind of problems. Although it is a natural thing to happen, there are a lot of ways and treatment to cure and possible avoid these pimples. Dermatologists are now more affordable than they were before. Treatments are not as difficult to find anymore. I have 2 wonderful daughters and as early as today, I try to as much as possible let them take care of their skins while playing. I ask them to be careful to avoid getting wounds that might cause scars. I think I will still be the same when they become teens. As a mom, we always want our kids to be good looking, isn’t it?
