I have read a couple of books about financial independence and the topic between classifying your needs versus your wants is always present in each of them. I guess I have learned about this a little late. But as the overused cliche goes – better late than never.
Alas, I found myself in this situation where I really need to assess if it is really needed and it was tough LOL! My boss was selling his Ipod Touch for a very cheap price and my eyes were glowing the moment I heard it. You know how better this gadget is compared to any other MP3 players out there and how cool it is. I have been longing to get one and I thought this time – is already my chance. It wasn’t (sounding a little frustrated).
Oh well, the PC is already at its limit and I have to set priorities. And this is where the need versus the want came in. I needed to check what I need most and if having that Ipod Touch is really a necessity. It turned out, we can still live without it – but dang, I can’t live without a PC! So that answered my question. The decision is final.
