Family Bonding

Bonding with the family is one way to strengthen the relationship between parents and children. It is a way of bringing you closer together. For the longest time, you’ve been doing the routines, everyday chores, school, tv, etc. Somehow, you need to get a break from the monotony. Go out of the house and spend time together.

This is the first ever in my family. My mom, dad, brother and sisters together. We never really had time to unwind together because we were always busy. We own a bakery and mom would never agree to temporarily leave the bakery and go off somewhere to relax. This time, we successfully made it! Yes, first time….and it was raining, too!

Unfortunately, I can’t dip in the water that day. I had sore throat and I’m afraid it’ll turn worse so I opted not to. My brother, sisters (with BFs) and sister-in-law are there to watch over the kids. They really enjoyed the pool because they freely move around – I bought them a pair of arm floaters!

Seeing my daughters who were not afraid of the water, I guess I have to say I have brave little ones. Unlike mom, they like swimming so much! They don’t even want to go home yet. But the outing is over and it is time to get back to the real world. At least, we’ve all enjoyed our Summer of 2009 with a shower!
