Of Getting Married and Wedding Planning

When hubby and I decided to get married, we agreed on doing everything personally from the biggest to the tiniest detail of wedding preparation. We believed in ourselves so much and we thought, we can do it without any help. I felt like I am a superwoman – I can plan, do the budget, set the timeline and schedules and do everything perfectly. I wanted to have a perfect wedding. But I guess getting married and wedding planning are 2 things that are really not that easy. It was late when I realized that.

We were able to successfully execute the things we wanted to on our wedding, but not everything was executed properly. Of course, the guests will normally not notice those glitches but for us who planned and orchestrated the entire event, we’ll definitely knew if something is wrong. And that is the reason why I started my own wedding coordination company way back in 2006. I wanted to accomplish the things I failed to do during my time and I wanted to share the things I learned and help all other brides out there to plan their wedding.

I started out fresh and got clients here and abroad. I even got an inquiry asking if there are Catholic wedding planners who can do a wedding in San Francisco. I told them I am one and I can but it would be costly since I am based outside the US. So I just helped the couple find a wedding planner in San Francisco who will most likely be able to help them with their needs. I help everyone who seeks my help, even if some are really not  my clients because for me, it’s a mission.

If you are looking for some great resource for your wedding, there are a lot of easily accessible sites on the internet that can really help you. Just be patient and do some research if you want to plan your own wedding. But it would really be helpful to you if you hire a wedding planner for at least on the day itself. This is to give you peace of mind that someone is taking care of your event and that you can rest assured your wedding will go on smoothly as planned. It is your day and you deserve to be happy and worry free. :)

Wishing for a New Dinnerware

It’s already been 5years since my husband and I are married and most of the gifts we received 5 years ago are already old and overused. I have longed to have some new set of wonderful dinnerware for my kitchen.

I haven’t been so fascinated about dinner plates when I was young and still single. But now that I am a wife and a mom, I always wanted to redo the kitchen and make it something I can be proud of. And then I started looking at some nice sets of kitchenware online and saw these wonderful and elegant looking dinnerware from Pfaltzgraff. I have been looking at this one for a couple of minutes and I really really liked it. I was contemplating on whether buying this one first instead of the laptop that I have also been wishing for this Christmas. This will be some kind of a tough decision since hubby is also focused on buying the laptop.

Hmm, how do I tell the husband that I wanted this set? Guess, I have to tell him I’ll be able to have a wonderful presentation of all the dishes I will cook from now on. Then, I will start collecting food recipes and study how to do each of them so he’ll not regret of ever buying these dinner set. Oh, how I wish he’ll give this to me. :)

A Wedding After Christmas

It’s only 2 more days to go before Christmas. Everyone is still busy with their last minute Christmas shopping hoping they won’t forget to give present to everyone in their lists. Gift-giving has always been part of the Christmas tradition all over the world.

As for me, I am not that busy with gifts, I don’t have much on my list and the budget is tight this year. What I am busy this season is the wedding of my sister on the 26th. Now that the most important things for the wedding have been set, we’ve been preparing food recipes for the suppliers and the relatives who will be at the preparation site. My mother has been busy with her sets of dinnerware and can’t decide on what to use. It’s so nice to have another wedding in the family after mine. We haven’t been this busy for some time and I guess it gets us to reunite even more.

I wonder what present should I give the couple? Will a nice set of dinner plates be good? I definitely think they’ll like it since no one has gotten this gift based on the registry so it’s really for me to give. Oh and I need to prepare a speech. I am her Matron of Honor after all.

A toast to my sister and our new brother-in-law!

The Family at Enchanted Kingdom

Last Saturday was our time, really a family time. Hubby and I decided to bring the kids over to Enchanted Kingdom (taking that opportunity given by the company). We were able to avail of discounted rates for the ride all you can entrance ticket.

I know it’s the season where everyone else would like to go to such place but I never ever had imagined it will turn out like that! There are a LOT of people!  We arrived early as planned to secure a parking slot near the entrance.

Our first stop was the Grand Carousel and the girls are very excited to see how big and beautiful it is (they used to see those that are inside the malls).

The kids were not cooperative for photo shoots that day. They were distracted by so many rides in front of them and would want to get on and off each rides as soon as they can. Here’s one of our photos in Up, Up and Away where we waited almost an hour before we finally get in. Blurry but still I wanted to share LOL!

It was already dark and we were only able to get on 2 rides! That’s how long the lines are! So instead of cramming inside, we decided to take some shots and eat dinner. We waited until the place was exclusive to the company so we’ll get to enjoy more rides (with shorter lines).

The Grand Carousel (from the bridge)

It was fun and seriously tiring with the number of people inside the place that day. Traffic was even worst for those who came in late. There was a fireworks display at 7PM but it was a bit disappointing. I have seen some and a lot better that what we saw that day.

Anyways, since the girls enjoyed their day, I guess I have no right to complain. :)

Ezy Roller

I came across Posylane again today and I saw some good gift ideas again. As you know, I’ve already recommended their nap mats and they are really beautiful. Now, they even have personalized pillowcases that you will surely love!

And you know what I think would be a perfect gift for the kids this Christmas? Tada!!! An Ezy Roller! Look at this.

They have long been asking me for a bike and my sister got one for each of the twins. Unfortunately, it’s now broken. I think this will be one beautiful gift to receive this Christmas.

You think they will love it?
